Showroom Supervisor – Home Furniture

About the role

The Showroom Supervisor will lead the home‑furniture showroom team to achieve sales and profitability targets while ensuring an excellent customer experience. This role combines people management, operational oversight, and sales strategy execution in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the showroom to meet or exceed cash, credit, warranty and accessories sales targets.
• Lead, coach and mentor sales staff, schedule shifts, manage break periods, sick leave and vacations.
• Implement promotional activities and ensure merchandise is correctly priced, displayed and stocked according to planograms.
• Maintain security measures, conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies.
• Prepare work schedules, monitor manpower against budget, and conduct yearly performance appraisals.
• Handle cash management, deposit reconciliation and bank deliveries.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring high‑level service throughout the team.
• Report operational performance, sales data and resource needs to the Sales Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail sales supervision, preferably in furniture or home‑goods.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on staff development.
• Analytical mindset to interpret sales data and drive business results.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs and ensure compliance with store policies.
