Team Leader – Grocery

About the role

The Team Leader – Grocery is responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve sales targets. This role motivates the team, addresses issues promptly, and drives coaching and development to ensure high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and implement the commercial policy agreed for the store pricing.
• Manage product assortment and negotiate internal promotions with suppliers.
• Monitor NPS in the section and drive improvements.
• Ensure proper stock management, including reports, replenishment orders and deliveries.
• Implement initiatives to minimise waste and shrinkage and control waste items reporting.
• Identify slow‑moving items and manage stock depreciation to push sales before expiry.
• Control displays to ensure correct pricing and planogram compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in retail operations.
• Pleasant and warm disposition with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Clear communicator able to motivate and build team spirit.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy.
