Engineering Technician – General Mechanic

About the role

The Engineering Technician – General Mechanic will support Waldorf Astoria Kuwait by maintaining and repairing the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems. Working in a 24‑hour shift pattern, you will ensure that all engineering assets operate safely and efficiently, contributing to the hotel’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Log pressures, temperatures, amperes and other variables for all AC machinery as required.
• Clean, service, repair and overhaul air handling units, ventilation and exhaust fans, cold rooms, freezers, condensing units, cooler units, bottle and water coolers, ice makers and the central air‑conditioning plant.
• Maintain ductwork, duct insulation, and support structures.
• Repair and maintain electrical wiring, main power supplies, switches, relays, timers, fuses, control wiring, transformer switches, contactors and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance using checklists and conduct fault diagnosis.
• Adhere to Hilton Worldwide policies, hotel security procedures and engineering supervisor directives.
• Provide training to engineering staff and assist other hotel areas when needed.

Required profile

• Technical college education in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
• Extensive experience with air‑conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems in a hospitality environment.
• Ability to work rotating three‑shift schedules and adapt to varying days off.
