About the role

The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and security of the enterprise network supporting users across Kuwait. Reporting to a military shift leader or designated contract personnel, the role requires on‑site presence five days a week and 24/7 engineering support.

Key responsibilities

Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing, switching, and multicast protocols.
Provide continuous network monitoring, IP management, and incident resolution for DODIN services.
Perform theater‑level network modeling, capacity planning, traffic engineering, and optimization.
Develop Statements of Work, Work Breakdown Structures, and technical documentation.
Support coalition or joint network demonstrations and produce technical reports.

Required profile

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years of network administration experience.
Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams.
Cisco CCIE certification.
DoD 8570 certification at IAT‑III/IAM‑II level (e.g., CASP, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO).

Required skills

Routing protocols: BGP, BGP VPNv4, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP, MPLS, VRF.
Multicast: PIM, MSDP, MBGP.
Switching: Spanning Tree, CST, MISTP, PVST, RPVST+, VTP, DTP, GVRP, MAB, VLAN, Private VLAN.
DMVPN technologies: NHRP, QOS, IKE, IPSEC, EZVPN, site‑to‑site VPN.
IP services: WCCP, AAA, QOS, IP SLA, EEM, Syslog, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, NTP.
Network management tools: TDMA, NetFlow, SNMP, Cisco Works, GEM‑X, SNMPc, ACS, ASDM, CSM.
Hardware: Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, ASA, FTD, FMC, GD TACLANE.
