Lead Network Engineer

About the role
The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and security of the enterprise network supporting users across Kuwait. Reporting to a military shift leader or designated contract personnel, the role requires on‑site presence five days a week and 24/7 engineering support.
Key responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing, switching, and multicast protocols.
- Provide continuous network monitoring, IP management, and incident resolution for DODIN services.
- Perform theater‑level network modeling, capacity planning, traffic engineering, and optimization.
- Develop Statements of Work, Work Breakdown Structures, and technical documentation.
- Support coalition or joint network demonstrations and produce technical reports.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of network administration experience.
- Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams.
- Cisco CCIE certification.
- DoD 8570 certification at IAT‑III/IAM‑II level (e.g., CASP, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO).
Required skills
- Routing protocols: BGP, BGP VPNv4, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP, MPLS, VRF.
- Multicast: PIM, MSDP, MBGP.
- Switching: Spanning Tree, CST, MISTP, PVST, RPVST+, VTP, DTP, GVRP, MAB, VLAN, Private VLAN.
- DMVPN technologies: NHRP, QOS, IKE, IPSEC, EZVPN, site‑to‑site VPN.
- IP services: WCCP, AAA, QOS, IP SLA, EEM, Syslog, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, NTP.
- Network management tools: TDMA, NetFlow, SNMP, Cisco Works, GEM‑X, SNMPc, ACS, ASDM, CSM.
- Hardware: Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, ASA, FTD, FMC, GD TACLANE.
