Research Analyst – Data Science & Analytics (VP)

About the role

Join Deutsche Bank Research’s Data Insights Group (dbDIG) to turn research questions into scalable data products, production‑ready models, and interactive visualisations. You will work at the intersection of research, data engineering, visualisation and AI, delivering applied analytics solutions for analysts and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the end‑to‑end alternative data agenda, from problem framing and data acquisition to signal development, statistical modelling, validation and quality assurance.
• Own data ingestion and validation standards for alternative datasets, applying statistical, machine‑learning and AI checks to detect anomalies early.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the project lifecycle while mentoring junior team members on data‑science projects.
• Enhance data reporting by building interactive dashboards, applications, geospatial maps, animations and advanced visualisations.
• Develop practical AI integrations, including APIs, model connection points and secure access to internal data and research environments to automate repetitive work and boost analyst productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or managing alternative‑data, advanced‑analytics or machine‑learning products in a research, financial‑services or data‑driven environment.
• Strong capability to translate complex research questions into clear analytical solutions.
