Sr. Service Technician - Field

About the role

The Senior Service Technician works in the field to diagnose, repair, and replace components of household appliances, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This role requires independent work on customer premises, managing parts inventory, and handling warranty documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑screen, identify, analyse, and repair appliance and electronic product failures.
• Configure and troubleshoot hardware including audio‑DSP, A/V control, video/audio devices, and USB‑based software applications.
• Order necessary parts after initial assessment to have them on hand before service visits.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as warranty claims and report submissions.
• Maintain performance objectives, company vehicle, tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
• Ensure personal safety judgment and work without onsite supervision.
• Track service documents and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of field service experience with major home appliances.
• Relevant certifications such as Refrigerant Handling Certificate(s), CET, HVAC, or other appliance/electronics service certifications.
• Proficiency with electronics, appliance, and refrigeration diagnostic tools.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and smartphone technology; ability to learn proprietary software quickly.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to perform typical field service tasks (lifting, bending, etc.).
• Flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
