Stock Custodian – Multiple Locations (Kuwait & UAE)

About the role

The Stock Custodian supports the operation of the OCONUS Military Postal Office at Ali Al Salem Air Base (Kuwait) and Al Dhafra Air Base (UAE). You will be responsible for managing postal supplies, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with military postal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform stock custodian duties in accordance with ACFENT and government publications.
• Conduct and document monthly audits of stamp stock and funds, including random audits.
• Maintain COPE responsibility for the operating MPO location and report discrepancies within 24 hours.
• Ensure postal supply operating procedures are available and followed.
• Place and track requisitions for postal equipment, publications, and forms through the Automated Military Postal System (AMPS).
• Maintain a 3‑ to 6‑month inventory of postal supplies and perform semi‑annual inventories.
• Update equipment inventory in AMPS, request repairs, and delete non‑serviceable items.
• Perform postal clerk and finance clerk functions when not engaged in custodian duties.
• Cross‑train in multiple postal functions to provide flexible staff coverage.
• Act as site lead in the absence of the designated Site Lead and perform other assigned duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with United States Postal Service (USPS) Point of Sale (POS) / Retail Software System (RSS) and managing postal financial services.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance.
• Ability to pass medical pre‑screening and yearly deployment screenings.
• No more than a 24‑month break in service since NACI clearance was granted.
• Willingness to travel as required.
