Stock Custodian – OCONUS Military Postal Support

About the role

The Stock Custodian will support OCONUS Military Postal Office (MPO) operations at Al Udeid Air Base and other locations, providing postal supply management and audit functions for authorized personnel and coalition units.

Key responsibilities

• Perform stock custodian duties in line with AFCENT performance work statement.
• Oversee MPO operations when the Site Lead is occupied with other duties.
• Conduct and document monthly audits of stamp stock and funds, reporting discrepancies within 24 hours.
• Maintain postal supply operating procedures and manage requisitions through the Automated Military Postal System (AMPS).
• Ensure inventory levels of postal supplies are between three and six months and complete semi‑annual inventories.
• Update and track postal equipment inventory, request repairs, and perform equipment deletions via AMPS.
• Perform postal clerk functions as required for MPO operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with United States Postal Service (USPS) Point of Sale (POS) / Retail Software System (RSS) and managing postal financial services.
• U.S. citizenship and a valid driver’s license (standard transmission).
• Active passport with minimum six months validity from date of departure.
• National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance.
• Ability to pass medical prescreening, travel up to 90‑100% of the time, and deploy to hazardous locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
