Army Aviation Non‑Destructive Inspector II (Buehring, Kuwait)

About the role

The Non‑Destructive Inspection (NDI) Technician II ensures the structural integrity of aerospace weapon systems and support equipment for Army aviation assets stationed in Buehring, Kuwait. Using a range of nondestructive methods, the specialist evaluates components, analyses fluids, and supports corrective actions to maintain mission‑critical aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetrant, eddy‑current, magnetic‑particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic inspections on aircraft structures and components.
• Prepare test methods, fluids, and parts; interpret results and communicate defects to repair centers.
• Analyze wear‑metal content in engine lubricating oil and other fluids; recommend corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor radiation areas, compute personal exposure, and maintain radiographic safety records.
• Operate, maintain, and service nondestructive inspection equipment; conduct lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Handle hazardous waste, perform silver‑recovery functions, and ensure proper disposal.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Level I personnel and trainers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; U.S. military technical training preferred.
• Minimum three years aviation inspection experience and at least one year on UH‑60, AH‑64, or CH‑47 airframes.
• Current Level II NDI qualification (NAS 410 or ASNT‑CP‑189) and basic certification.
• U.S. citizenship, valid passport (≥3 years), ability to obtain a NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance and Kuwait visa.
• Medical clearance for CENTCOM deployment.
