Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic III (KC-130J) – Kuwait

About the role

V2X is seeking an experienced Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic III to maintain and repair KC‑130J support equipment in Kuwait. The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and preparing equipment for deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair support equipment using OEM manuals, wiring diagrams and technical publications.
• Perform inspections, testing, fluid servicing (oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, compressed air) and corrective actions.
• Disassemble, clean, treat corrosion, re‑assemble and install components and accessories.
• Operate, service and maintain towing vehicles such as Bobtail Ford trucks, tow tractors and U‑30 aircraft tow vehicles.
• Use automated maintenance data systems to track trends, document actions and analyze equipment requirements.
• Handle, label, store and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with safety regulations.
• Prepare equipment for preservation and mobility deployment, ensuring tool control and FOD prevention.

Required profile

• Proven experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions on aviation support equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, technical manuals and OEM documentation.
• Strong safety awareness, including hazardous material handling and foreign‑object‑damage prevention.
• Capability to work independently on both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks.

Required skills

• Use of conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Proficiency with hand tools and specialized aircraft support equipment tools.
• Knowledge of fluid servicing (oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, compressed air).
• Experience operating towing vehicles (Bobtail Ford trucks, tow tractors, U‑30 tow vehicle).
• Familiarity with automated maintenance data systems for trend analysis and documentation.
