Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic III – KC-130J Program

About the role

Join V2X as an Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic III supporting the KC-130J program. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of common support equipment (CSE) used in aviation operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CSE, including inspection, testing, and servicing.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and technical documentation.
• Disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, re‑assemble, and reinstall equipment components.
• Service equipment with required fluids such as oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air.
• Operate and maintain towing vehicles, including Bobtail trucks, tow tractors, and aircraft tow vehicles.
• Utilize automated maintenance data systems to track trends, document actions, and manage parts requirements.
• Ensure proper labeling, stenciling, hazardous material handling, and adherence to safety and FOD prevention standards.

Required profile

• Experience working with aviation support equipment and mechanical/electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, and technical publications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Diagnostic troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic circuits.
• Proficiency with multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Hand tool operation and equipment disassembly/re‑assembly.
• Reading and applying wiring schematics and technical manuals.
• Use of automated maintenance data systems.
• Fluid servicing (oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, compressed air).
