Catering Supervisor

About the role

Sawsan Catering Company, through its Matbakhi concept in Kuwait City, offers homestyle Levantine meals, international finger foods, party catering, and private dining experiences. The company is seeking a Catering Supervisor to coordinate daily catering operations and ensure consistently high standards of food quality, service, presentation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise catering staff during preparation, setup, service, and breakdown activities.
• Coordinate event schedules, service requirements, equipment, food quantities, and staffing plans.
• Monitor food presentation, portion control, service timing, and adherence to quality standards.
• Brief team members, assign duties, provide on‑the‑job guidance, and address service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with kitchen, operations, and venue teams to ensure smooth execution of private dining and catering events.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company procedures.
• Inspect catering areas before and after events and report operational or equipment concerns.
• Assist with inventory checks, supplies, event documentation, and customer feedback follow‑up.

Required profile

• Proven ability to supervise catering, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality service teams.
• Strong understanding of event setup, food service flow, guest service, and post‑event breakdown.
• Excellent coordination, prioritization, and time‑management skills for multiple service requirements.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, portion control, and safe handling practices.
• Clear verbal communication and effective collaboration with kitchen, service, venue, and management teams.
• Ability to remain calm and productive during busy events, changing requirements, and tight timelines.
