Data Center Virtualization Engineer – Active Secret Clearance

About the role

The Data Center Virtualization Engineer will support and optimize the enterprise virtual infrastructure across all sites within the RCC‑SWA Area of Responsibility. This position provides top‑tier escalation support, ensures system reliability, and documents best practices for a secure, high‑availability environment.

Key responsibilities

• Enterprise‑level support for VMware technologies (ESXi, vCenter, vCOPS, vRealize, SRM).
• Daily monitoring of virtualization health, resource utilization, and availability.
• Produce periodic reports on capacity, performance, uptime, and MTTR.
• Review logs and report issues related to temperature and overall virtualization health.
• Configure and provision VMs, ESXi hosts, and virtual switches.
• Plan, install, configure, and upgrade virtual network infrastructure.
• Lead projects involving backup, disaster recovery, HA, performance monitoring, firmware/software upgrades, and system audits.
• Document Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for virtual environment management.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IS, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Experience with enterprise virtualization, storage, and networking technologies.
