About the role
The JW Marriott Hotel Kuwait City is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will assist in preparing a wide range of dishes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation that meet the hotel’s high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing from freezer storage.
- Maintain proper portion sizes, food arrangement, garnish, and food logs.
- Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate assistance needs during busy periods, and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
- Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
- Prepare and cook both hot and cold foods, adhering to presentation and safety standards.
- Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as required.
- Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies, and report any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability to work standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 lb and performing repetitive motions.
