About the role
The Banquet Kitchen at Jumeirah Messilah Beach is seeking a motivated Commis 1 to support its culinary team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a luxury hotel environment, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality banquet services.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior kitchen staff and support the culinary team to maintain smooth operations.
- Report any accidents, sickness, or equipment breakdowns promptly to the Chef de Cuisine.
- Identify potential issues before they occur and communicate them to prevent disruptions.
- Adapt positively to changes in departmental functions and hotel requirements.
- Act as an ambassador of lateral service, fostering teamwork and trust.
- Follow all safety procedures, food‑hygiene standards, and safe food‑handling practices.
- Adhere to culinary standards, recipes, and preparation guidelines.
