EMT Paramedic – Camp Arifjan (Kuwait)

About the role

The NREMT Paramedic provides Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency medical response for Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, supporting U.S. military personnel, contractors, civilians and authorized staff under the V2X program. This 24/7 position operates in a remote, austere environment and is essential to the base’s medical readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver BLS emergency medical response, assessment, stabilization, treatment and transport for authorized personnel.
• Operate ambulances and emergency response equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide trauma care, airway management, cardiac care, medication administration and other interventions within scope of practice.
• Coordinate patient transfers, support MEDEVAC operations and document all care activities.
• Maintain emergency medical equipment, supplies and vehicle readiness.
• Participate in mass‑casualty planning, emergency preparedness drills and contingency medical operations.

Required profile

• Current NREMT Paramedic certification.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and remain on‑call for after‑hours emergencies.
• Experience operating in remote or austere environments, preferably with military or contractor populations.
• Strong documentation skills and adherence to DoD, U.S. Army and V2X medical standards.
