General Accountant

About the role

The company is seeking a General Accountant to support its operations in the oil and gas sector at its Minaabdullah site in Kuwait. The role is full‑time and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile accounts.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with statutory requirements.
• Monitor cash flow, manage bank reconciliations and support budgeting processes.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audit cycles.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait tax laws and industry‑specific accounting standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Kuwaiti accounting regulations and IFRS.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard accounting software and Microsoft Office.
