Head of Legal – Corporate & IPO Focus

About the role

A leading regional group in Kuwait is seeking a senior corporate and commercial lawyer to become the most senior in‑house legal professional. You will drive the legal agenda through IPO preparation and continue to lead the function after the company becomes listed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate restructurings, acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, new entity formation and shareholder matters.
• Own drafting, review and negotiation of major commercial agreements across the group, including supplier, distribution, technology and partnership contracts.
• Advise senior management on Companies Law, corporate structures, board‑related legal issues and coordinate with governance and compliance for IPO readiness.
• Manage the legal function, external counsel across GCC markets, significant disputes and litigation, and establish legal processes and templates.

Required profile

• 10+ years of corporate and commercial legal experience in a law firm, listed company or complex regional business.
• Proven track record of handling complex transactions, IPO readiness and board matters.
• Experience managing external counsel and leading a legal team.
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait legal and commercial environment.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English, with ability to draft legal documents in both languages.
