Lead UXO/EOD Specialist (Senior Environmental Specialist)

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead UXO/EOD Specialist to provide technical leadership and quality assurance for unexploded ordnance (UXO) and land‑mine survey, detection and clearance activities in Kuwait. The role ensures that all field contractor work meets International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) and Worley’s safety and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance monitoring, inspections and surveillance audits of UXO and land‑mine clearance operations.
• Manage non‑conformance reporting, corrective actions and verification processes.
• Perform trend and root‑cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical oversight of contractor performance in UXO surveys, geophysical investigations and clearance.
• Guide the implementation of safe UXO identification, recovery and disposal systems.
• Support development of UXO management strategies and contract specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in UXO/EOD, land‑mine clearance or related environmental fields.
• Strong knowledge of IMAS and regulatory compliance for UXO operations.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage contractor performance.
• Excellent analytical skills for trend and root‑cause analysis.
