Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to handle emergencies with professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and manage emergency situations.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and respond quickly to incidents.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
