Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead plant operations and drive production efficiency at our manufacturing facility in Sabhan Industrial Area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage manpower and equipment utilization to optimise production and control costs.
• Ensure product quality meets international and local specifications.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to minimise breakdowns.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality control and other departments to enhance plant performance.
• Prepare daily reports for senior management and maintain P&L responsibility.
• Enforce health and safety protocols throughout the production process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in foam, pipe or plastics production.
• Strong knowledge of extruder machines and production cycles.
• Proactive self‑starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
