Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Flexible Packaging

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our flexible packaging and printing facility in Kuwait. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting printing, lamination, slitting, and packing line machinery to ensure continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery such as printing presses, laminators, slitters, and packing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, conduct roll calibrations, and carry out root‑cause analysis to minimise downtime.
• Monitor machine efficiency (OEE), manage spare‑parts requirements and maintain detailed maintenance logs.
• Support installation, alignment and calibration of new or upgraded equipment while collaborating with production and QC teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or B‑Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in flexible packaging, printing or similar manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to work in shifts according to operational needs.

Required skills

• Pneumatics and hydraulics systems.
• Rotating equipment maintenance.
• Reading technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Roll calibration techniques and root‑cause failure analysis.
