MPFM (Multiphase Flow Metering) Specialist

About the role

SGS is seeking an experienced MPFM Specialist to ensure the optimal operation of Multiphase Flow Meters across oil field production sites. The role involves guaranteeing accurate, continuous production data, supporting technology upgrades, and providing technical guidance to KOC end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise MPFM operability to deliver reliable production data.
• Perform evaluations, analyses and produce reports on audits, maintenance, commissioning and field tests.
• Recommend and specify new MPFM technologies and design criteria for project development.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support.
• Troubleshoot MPFM installations, manage digital communication with RTUs, and oversee data testing and download.
• Plan and deliver training workshops for KOC MPFM users.
• Participate in FAT, IFAT, SAT, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, tracking progress and ensuring compliance.
• Identify and test emerging technologies in collaboration with R&T and related departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Multiphase Flow Metering and surface well‑testing operations.
• Proven ability to develop and monitor intelligent‑field applications, software workflows and production optimisation tools.
