Planning Engineer – 400kV Transmission Line Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team immediately on a 400 kV overhead transmission line project in Kuwait. The role involves creating and maintaining the project schedule, monitoring progress, and supporting the Project Manager with forecasting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update the detailed baseline schedule using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Plan and monitor engineering, procurement, civil works, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Track actual progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and look‑ahead schedules for site teams.
• Analyze project performance, productivity, critical path, and schedule variance.
• Develop recovery programs and mitigation plans when required.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to collect accurate progress information.
• Support the Project Manager with forecasting, progress measurement, resource planning, and schedule analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience on high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects, preferably 400 kV.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent scheduling software).
• Knowledge of progress measurement, critical path analysis, schedule control, and delay analysis.
• Understanding of OHL construction activities such as foundations, tower erection, and conductor/OPGW stringing.
