General Manager – Facilities Management

About the role

The General Manager – Facilities Management leads the Facilities Management Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and contract‑compliant delivery of both hard and soft services across multiple sites in Kuwait. The role provides strategic direction, drives business growth, and maintains high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual business strategy, set departmental goals and performance targets, and identify opportunities for service diversification.
• Oversee integrated facilities services, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, building management, civil maintenance, vertical transportation, power generation, cleaning, waste management, landscaping, security and reception.
• Manage contract compliance, service level agreements, risk mitigation, and commercial issues in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
• Promote health, safety, quality and environmental standards, ensuring ISO and HSE compliance.
• Lead asset and maintenance management, utilizing CAFM and predictive/condition‑based maintenance practices.
• Support business development activities, client relationship management and tender submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management or related field; MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 20 years of FM experience with at least 8 years in senior leadership managing multiple contracts.
• Proven track record in integrated hard and soft services, business development, financial planning and large multidisciplinary team management.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and fire alarm systems.
• Building Management Systems (BMS), ELV systems, civil and building fabric maintenance, vertical transportation, power generation.
• Predictive and condition‑based maintenance, CAFM platforms.
• Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP (or equivalent).
