Sea Freight Specialist

About the role

As a Sea Freight Specialist at Aramex, you will be the primary point of contact for clients seeking sea freight solutions. You will build strong relationships, provide tailored freight options, and support the sales team in expanding business within the ocean transportation market.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive sea freight solutions that meet client specifications.
• Maintain and grow client relationships to ensure loyalty and long‑term retention.
• Resolve client claims, payment issues, and pending shipments promptly.
• Manage the full shipment lifecycle from booking to delivery, ensuring timely execution.
• Provide accurate quotations and assist the sales team in pursuing new opportunities.
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers, agents, and offices.
• Monitor profit & loss metrics, handle invoicing, and report operational issues to management.
• Utilise CargoWise for shipment tracking and milestone updates.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the regional pricing desk on RFQs, projects, and tenders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in sea freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of global trade lanes, shipping lines, and sea freight solutions.
• Proven track record of meeting freight targets and managing client accounts.
