Senior Buyer – Beauty Category

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to lead the beauty category for a leading organization in Kuwait. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end buying process, securing the right products at the right price, quantity and time, and driving commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full buying cycle from product sourcing and supplier negotiation to purchase order placement and delivery.
• Identify and onboard new brands, products and suppliers based on market and business needs.
• Negotiate pricing, margins, payment terms, lead times and commercial agreements with local and international suppliers.
• Prepare purchase forecasts using historical sales, seasonality and upcoming demand.
• Monitor stock levels, sell‑through, inventory turnover and product performance, taking corrective actions for fast‑moving, slow‑moving or non‑moving items.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Digital, Finance and Logistics teams for promotions, launches and seasonal events.
• Support private‑label purchasing, including production planning and supplier coordination.
• Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and provide guidance to junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of buying or purchasing experience, preferably in retail or e‑commerce.
• Proven track record in supplier sourcing, commercial negotiations and managing both local and international suppliers.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales, stock and purchasing data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
