Senior Contracts Engineer – Marine & Ports

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Contracts Engineer to lead contract management for a major port development in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and supporting the delivery of a complex marine infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and administer complex contracts related to the port project.
• Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through close‑out for multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Implement and maintain contract management systems and processes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks, handling disputes and claims promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to align contract terms with project objectives.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts and budgets linked to contract performance.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Kuwaiti construction codes, maritime regulations and international best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in contract management for large‑scale construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of international contract law and FIDIC contracts.
• Proven ability to manage complex contracts and resolve disputes.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience in multicultural environments.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait for the project duration.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
