Senior Generator Technician (TS/SCI)

About the role

CACI is seeking an experienced Senior Generator Technician to support a mission‑critical program in Kuwait. The role involves maintaining and repairing a range of standby generators and associated power equipment while ensuring compliance with strict security and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, load‑bank testing, and field diagnostics on 50 kW–2 500 kW generators and automatic transfer switches.
• Diagnose and repair paralleling switchgear, distribution gear, transformers, service panels, voltage regulators, and AC/DC circuits.
• Operate and maintain auxiliary generator equipment, including fuel systems and lubrication.
• Utilize CMMS tools to manage work orders, maintenance tasks, spare‑part inventory, and consumption records.
• Conduct inspections, housekeeping, and safety procedures such as lockout/tagout.
• Repair single‑phase UPS units, replace batteries, and handle overload conditions.
• Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled switchgear and control panels.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years experience, or high school diploma with a power‑generation certification and 10 years experience, or 12 years military experience in power generation.
• Technical understanding of power‑generation operation and maintenance; manufacturer certification preferred.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, PPE, and documentation/report writing.
