Showroom Supervisor - Home Furnishing

About the role

The Showroom Supervisor is responsible for driving sales, profitability and smooth store operations while developing the team. The role ensures a high level of customer service and a friendly work environment in a home‑furnishing showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate staff to achieve location sales targets, cash, credit, warranties and accessories.
• Implement promotional activities and analyse sales data to maximise results.
• Plan work schedules, manage breaks, sick leaves and vacations, and assign duties using the fingerprint system.
• Inspect merchandise for correct pricing, display and planogram compliance; maintain stock levels and suggest product range.
• Secure merchandise through appropriate security measures and ensure all licences and documents are up‑to‑date.
• Report showroom performance to the Sales Manager and maintain cost‑control measures.
• Conduct yearly appraisals, performance reviews and develop staff through coaching and mentoring.
• Ensure a safe, clean and compliant work environment, including emergency procedures.
• Manage cash handling, deposit reconciliation and bank deliveries.
• Gather customer feedback and monitor competitor pricing.
• Oversee accurate stock counts and inventory results.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead a retail team and achieve sales targets.
• Strong focus on staff development, coaching and performance management.
• Excellent organisational skills for scheduling, inventory control and cost management.
• Customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle and resolve client issues.
• Attention to safety, security and compliance with store policies.
