Team Leader - Bakery

About the role

The Team Leader is responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve sales targets in the bakery section of a hypermarket.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and implement commercial policy for store pricing and product assortment.
• Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers and manage discount displays.
• Monitor NPS and drive improvements in the section.
• Ensure proper stock management, including reports, replenishment orders and deliveries.
• Implement initiatives to minimise waste and shrinkage, and report on waste items.
• Identify slow‑moving items and promote sales before expiry.
• Manage and control displays to ensure correct pricing and planogram compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in retail operations.
• Pleasant, warm disposition with a customer‑service orientation.
• Clear communicator able to build team spirit and motivation.
• Detail‑oriented.
