Tubing Conveyed Perforating Specialist – Wireline Services

About the role

The TCP Specialist – Wireline is the technical lead for Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations, supporting customer well completion and intervention activities on onshore and offshore sites. You will ensure safe, efficient execution of perforating jobs while maintaining compliance with Weatherford procedures, HSE standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute TCP operations in line with engineering programs and customer requirements.
• Prepare, inspect, assemble, test and maintain TCP equipment, perforating guns, firing heads, setting tools and related downhole hardware.
• Handle, transport, store and use explosive materials in strict compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct pre‑job planning, risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses and operational briefings.
• Supervise rig‑up, pressure testing, execution, troubleshooting and rig‑down at well sites.
• Monitor performance, resolve technical issues and coordinate with customers, drilling contractors and rig personnel.
• Prepare operational reports, service tickets and post‑job documentation.
• Investigate failures, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage of TCP tools and explosives.
• Mentor junior Wireline Engineers, Field Specialists and operators.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Tubing Conveyed Perforating systems and well completion operations.
• Hands‑on experience with perforating guns, firing heads, detonators, setting tools and explosive systems.
• Familiarity with explosive safety regulations, transportation, storage and handling procedures.
• Solid understanding of pressure control equipment and related safety protocols.
• Ability to lead field teams, conduct risk assessments and ensure HSE compliance.
