Workshop Supervisor (Automotive)

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will act as the main link between the workshop and the Customer Service department, ensuring all diagnostic, repair and maintenance work complies with legal requirements, manufacturer specifications and company standards. The role oversees workflow, quality and timely delivery while driving customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor workflow and job progress to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Provide technicians with necessary documentation, repair instructions, wiring diagrams and product information.
• Train, coach and support the workshop team to improve repair quality and reduce repeat work.
• Plan and assign repair jobs, manage workshop orders and coordinate parts procurement.
• Conduct test drives and functional checks, document results and report defects.
• Update workshop capacity in the Dealer Management System and release resources upon completion.
• Maintain and calibrate workshop equipment and liaise with the parts department for spare‑part availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in an automotive workshop environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturer standards, technical service bulletins and warranty policies.
