Account Manager

About the role

The Account Manager will drive sales volume, distribution, merchandising and pricing for trade customers, ensuring endorsed brands are effectively resold. You will act as the main liaison between the company and key stakeholders, delivering on‑site activities, events and initiatives that meet both company and customer objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, negotiate and execute monthly in‑store activities, events and merchandising initiatives.
• Control budgets, allocations and ensure timely collection of payments from trade partners.
• Maintain accurate daily data on stocks, sales, pricing and competition for the Unit Manager.
• Train, coach and motivate merchandisers to achieve maximum productivity.
• Apply Efficient Customer Response (ECR) and Category Management principles where appropriate.
• Manage trade inventory levels to meet set targets.
• Promote team‑building and cross‑functional collaboration to achieve unit results.
• Adhere to department policies, procedures and company core values.

Required profile

• Strong commercial mindset with a focus on trade and merchandising.
• Excellent negotiation, budgeting and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to propose breakthrough ideas.
• Commitment to continuous learning and application of post‑training concepts.
