Accountant – Treasury & Banking Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage treasury accounting, bank reconciliation and foreign exchange activities for our banking operations in Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily bank reconciliation for 88 accounts across entities, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee automated treasury accounting entries generated through Quantum, ensuring accurate mapping to SAP.
• Manage accounting for debt and investment activities, including principal movements, interest accruals, fee amortization and profit distribution in line with IFRS.
• Handle intercompany funding, cash pooling and centralized payments, aligning with group treasury strategy.
• Perform foreign exchange revaluation and remeasurement, monitoring FX gains and losses per Group policies and IAS 21.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of treasury accounting or similar experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially foreign currency accounting and financial instruments.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a plus.
• Preferable experience in Big 4 firms or banking financial control.
