Ammunition Manager Assistant – Logistics Operations

About the role

GDIT is seeking an Ammunition Manager Assistant to provide full‑time onsite support for U.S. Government ammunition supply, inventory and stockpile management within USCENTCOM. The role supports theater stockage objectives, training supply, and the full lifecycle of ammunition assets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the U.S. Government with supply, inventory and stockpile management for all Army ammunition stocks in USCENTCOM, including storage levels and theater objectives.
• Provide management and visibility using systems such as SAAS, TAMIS, MHP and NLAC.
• Identify shortages, recommend resupply actions, and monitor on‑hand stocks for war reserves, operational and training ammunition.
• Track shipments by air, ground and sea, and produce Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint decks showing stock levels.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for ammunition operations, contingency planning and Class V schedule troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or four additional years of experience).
• Active Secret security clearance and ability to meet CENTCOM/CRC medical and deployment requirements.
• Current U.S. passport with at least two years remaining and ability to obtain a Kuwait work visa.
• 5+ years of theater/operational conventional ammunition management experience and 10+ years of technical ammunition management experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

• Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) operations.
• Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS).
• Munitions History Program (MHP) and National Level Ammunition Capability (NLAC).
• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Inventory management and ammunition accountability.
