Assistant Director, Center for Continuing Education

About the role

The Assistant Director will support the Director of the Center for Continuing Education in delivering high‑quality, profitable training programmes. This senior operational leader translates strategy into day‑to‑day execution, overseeing program logistics, instructor management and client services across open‑enrolment, corporate and government offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full operational lifecycle of all programmes – scheduling, registration, venue allocation, material production, instructor logistics, assessment and certification.
• Coordinate curriculum development with faculty and external experts, maintain the instructor roster and oversee quality‑assurance cycles.
• Supervise corporate and government client delivery, prepare proposals, contracts, reports and support business‑development activities.
• Prepare and monitor programme costing, pricing, margin analysis and track revenue, receivables and expenses for monthly and annual reporting.
• Lead programme coordinators, administrative staff and sales personnel, set objectives, conduct performance reviews and develop standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, education or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience in training operations or executive education, with at least two years supervising staff.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programmes, budgets and external contractors.
• Excellent written and spoken English; professional Arabic preferred.
• Experience within a university or accredited training provider and familiarity with international certification bodies.
