Associate/Professor of Management Information Systems

About the role

Kuwait Technical College is seeking an experienced academic to teach and lead research in Management Information Systems (MIS) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty committed to academic excellence, innovation, and preparing students for the global workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate (and where applicable, graduate) courses in Management Information Systems.
• Supervise student research projects and academic activities.
• Provide academic advising and professional mentorship to students.
• Maintain an active research agenda with measurable scholarly output, publishing in internationally recognized, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in academic committees, institutional governance, and curriculum development.
• Support accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Management Information Systems (MIS) or a closely related discipline.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business, Information Technology, or related fields from accredited universities.
• For Professor rank: minimum 8 years of academic experience, including at least 4 years as Assistant Professor and 4 years as Associate Professor, with a strong publication record (13+ peer‑reviewed articles, Scopus h‑index ≥20 preferred, first‑author on ≥7 papers).
• For Associate Professor rank: minimum 4 years as Assistant Professor, 8+ high‑quality publications, first‑author on ≥4 papers.
