Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician

About the role

The Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician is responsible for the logistics, maintenance and certification of all ALSE, first‑aid kits and Night Vision Devices for aircrew and support personnel stationed in Buehring, Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions, troubleshooting repairs using drawings, wiring diagrams and technical publications.
• Service, certify and instruct crew on individual and collective equipment, including ALSE and NVD.
• Order, receive, inventory and manage kits and components, resolving shipping discrepancies.
• Ensure proper fit of crew clothing and maintain computerized records to meet inspection intervals.
• Provide training to contractor and host‑nation personnel on proper use and care of equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of verifiable experience as an ALSE technician.
• Certificate of training as a school‑trained ALSE Technician.
• Valid US passport (minimum 2.5 years) and US citizenship for security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance and meet CENTCOM medical requirements.
• Eligibility for a Kuwait visa and background check.

Required skills

• ALSE and Night Vision Device maintenance and inspection.
• Interpretation of drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Inventory management and computerized record‑keeping.
• Knowledge of aircrew life‑support equipment, flight line safety and aircraft fire‑fighting procedures.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance data systems and tool control procedures.
• Instructional skills for training personnel.
