Barista

About the role

The Barista at Earth Roastery prepares high‑quality coffee, specialty teas, fresh juices, mocktails and light meals while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced café environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso‑based drinks, pour‑over, batch brew and specialty beverages following brand standards.
• Mix and garnish mocktails, specialty cold drinks and maintain a clean, well‑stocked beverage station.
• Prepare sandwiches and light meals, ensuring food safety and proper kitchen hygiene.
• Monitor inventory, conduct stock counts and assist with receiving deliveries.
• Greet customers, take orders, handle cash and card transactions accurately.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or beverage certification is a plus.
• 1–2 years experience in a café, coffee shop or similar outlet (freshers with strong training may be considered).
• Excellent communication, customer‑focused attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Espresso extraction and milk steaming techniques.
• Manual brewing methods (pour‑over, batch brew).
• Operation of POS systems and cash handling.
