Biomedical Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of all medical and laboratory equipment in its facilities. You will provide technical support, conduct preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors to meet healthcare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair biomedical and medical equipment used in hospitals or clinics.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and performance verification according to manufacturer and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements and maintain accurate inventory and service records.
• Provide technical training to healthcare professionals and assist in evaluating new biomedical equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts, warranty claims, and annual maintenance contracts, and participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (AHA or equivalent).
• Post‑graduate experience in hospitals with a minimum set of relevant experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak both English and Arabic.
• Valid Kuwait‑based transferable visa and driving license.
