Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the organization’s accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This senior position reports directly to the Finance Manager and provides strategic financial insights to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including day‑to‑day bookkeeping, month‑end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate audit outcomes.
• Manage tax compliance, filing, and planning activities.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to maintain high standards of professionalism.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience with significant financial management responsibilities.
• CPA or equivalent certification highly valued.
• Male Arab national (as specified in the posting).
