Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

The Chief Technology Officer will own SOS HR Solutions' technology strategy, architecture and engineering delivery, building and leading the team that ships and operates the company's BNPL platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the end‑to‑end reference architecture, technology roadmap and build‑vs‑buy decisions in line with business, product and regulatory requirements.
• Build the engineering organisation from scratch, hire engineers, set roles, career paths and ensure on‑time, quality delivery.
• Establish engineering practices such as SDLC, code review, testing, CI/CD, release management and incident response.
• Own security architecture, data protection, encryption, key management and lead regulatory security reviews with the Central Bank of Kuwait.
• Maintain infrastructure reliability, scalability, cost efficiency and disaster‑recovery plans for production systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 10‑12 years progressive engineering experience with 4‑6 years leading an engineering team.
• Hands‑on coder who can write and review code at line‑by‑line level.
• Experience taking a system through regulator or enterprise security review, preferably in fintech or payments.
