CICS / COBOL Programmer (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CICS / COBOL Programmer to join a leading organization in Kuwait. The role focuses on developing, supporting, and enhancing IBM mainframe applications while requiring strong Arabic communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain online CICS and batch COBOL applications on IBM z/OS.
• Write and manage JCL scripts to schedule and control batch processing.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and support for production incidents.
• Enhance and modernize legacy enterprise systems to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with DB2 databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in IBM mainframe application development.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in Arabic.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and evolving large‑scale legacy systems.
