Construction Supervision Manager / Resident Engineer

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Construction Supervision Manager/Resident Engineer to lead the supervision of a major water infrastructure project. The role involves overseeing the delivery of water transmission, pumping and distribution assets from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary site supervision team delivering large‑scale water infrastructure works.
• Oversee construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities for transmission, pumping and distribution facilities.
• Act as the primary liaison between client, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Review engineering submissions, technical documentation and construction methodologies for compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, resource utilization and performance across multiple work fronts.
• Facilitate technical and progress review meetings and resolve construction and contractual issues.
• Supervise inspection, testing, commissioning and performance verification activities.
• Manage contract administration including variations, claims, payment applications and close‑out documentation.
• Provide strategic advice on risks, technical challenges and contractual matters.
• Prepare progress reports, presentations and project documentation while promoting knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a similar senior construction supervision or resident engineer role.
• Experience working in a consultancy environment on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to build trusted relationships with clients and partners.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
