Credit Officer – Full‑time

About the role

ABYAT is seeking a Credit Officer to join its finance team in Kuwait City. The role involves supporting the credit application process, verifying customer information, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process credit applications, verifying documents such as financial statements, identification, and references.
• Enter application data accurately into the system and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Communicate with customers to clarify details and respond to inquiries about credit terms, limits, and account status.
• Conduct initial credit checks and assessments under senior officer guidance.
• Assist senior officers in evaluating credit risk and recommending approvals, modifications, or rejections.
• Prepare regular reports on application status, approvals, rejections, and pipeline for management review.
• Ensure all credit activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in credit processing, financial services, or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined SLA timelines.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
