Demand Planner

About the role

The Demand Planner will develop accurate demand forecasts and optimise inventory across FMCG, electronics and retail categories, ensuring product availability while minimising stockouts and excess stock.

Key responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts using historical sales, seasonality, promotions and market trends.
• Adjust forecasts for campaigns, flash sales, Ramadan, White Friday and new product launches.
• Set and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lead times and other planning parameters.
• Monitor stock availability, out‑of‑stock risks, slow‑moving and obsolete inventory.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, Marketing, Logistics and Operations teams through the S&OP process.
• Align demand plans with supplier lead times, MOQs, promotions and replenishment requirements.
• Analyse forecast accuracy and inventory performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support post‑promotion analysis and continuous improvement of forecasting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning or inventory management, preferably in e‑commerce, retail or FMCG.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, forecasting functions).
• Experience with ERP/WMS and demand planning systems.
• Strong analytical, numerical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
