Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry will support the pastry kitchen at Hyatt Regency Al Kout, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality service for guests. You will assist in daily operations, contributing to the outlet’s success while adhering to the hotel’s standards and financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pastry team in preparing a wide range of desserts, cakes, breads, chocolates and confectionery.
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation and food safety in all products.
• Operate pastry and bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support the kitchen in meeting service targets during shifts, weekends and holidays.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, hotel, restaurant or catering environment.
• Previous experience as a Commis Pastry Chef or similar role is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques and confectionery products.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while delivering consistent quality.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and extended hours when required.
