Dietitian (Kuwaiti Candidates Only)

About the role

DAFNE is recruiting a Dietitian who speaks Arabic and English fluently, with more than five years of experience in a similar role. The position is open only to Kuwaiti candidates and closes on 31 December 2026. The dietitian provides one-on-one Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and patient education in individual and group sessions, and develops evidence-based educational material for patients and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement therapeutic diets, and evaluate and document the results
• Coordinate patients' medical and nutritional needs with physicians and other health care providers
• Counsel individuals, groups, families and caretakers on nutritional practices that prevent disease and promote good health
• Help run nutritional education group sessions and assist in supervising cooking classes when required
• Develop evidence-based nutrition educational material
• Help develop and implement at least one departmental project or service and carry out other duties assigned by the Team Leader or Head of Unit

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or higher; a master's degree is preferred
• At least two years of related experience in a similar organisation
• More than five years of previous experience in a similar role
• Valid practice licence
• Current membership of a professional nutrition association is desirable

Required skills

• Competence in applying Medical Nutrition Therapy
• Good reading, writing and speaking Arabic and English
• Ability to develop educational material
• Knowledge of behavioural modification theories is desirable
